Steven Riddiough is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Toronto, where he teaches International Finance and Corporate Finance. His research—published in the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and IMF Economic Review—spans international finance, empirical asset pricing, and household finance. He is a recipient of the Kepos Capital Award for Best Paper on Investments at the Western Finance Association Annual Meeting and the Hillsdale Investment Management–CFA Society Toronto Research Award.
Before joining the University of Toronto, Steven served as a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the University of Melbourne after completing his PhD at Warwick Business School. During his doctorate, he lectured at Imperial College London, conducted research in the International Finance Division of the Bank of England, and consulted for the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. He began his career as a Foreign Exchange Research Strategist at Credit Suisse.
